Sometimes a restart does not work, and I have to power off, wait, and power back on my laptop. Sometimes, a restart works and the wi-fi capability magically returns. In that case, I have to restart my laptop. However, sometimes when I go to Network Connections, I cannot repair the Local Area Connection, because the 1394 Connection is no longer even listed and, from all ways of searching, doesn't even exist on my laptop. ![]() Sometimes, I can hit "repair" under Local Area Connection 3 and after some struggles, the green light will come back on. The green wi-fi light goes off and my Intel PROset/Wireless tells me that I do not have a wireless physical adapter installed.įrom there, I go to Network Connections.
